The American Association of Abidjan (AAA) is an independent, non-profit organization that operates through its own established charter and bylaws. It has been granted a charter by the Department of State, Gift Shop, and Recreation Affairs (CR).
The organization is self-funded and has about 10 employees who are locally hired to manage and execute its various operations. The Board overseeing AAA is comprised of U.S. Direct Hires, Eligible Family Members, as well as representatives from the Management Office and Community Liaison Office.
The American Association of Abidjan (AAA) manages various services and facilities, including an independent gift shop located at the U.S. Embassy, Embassy Annex situated a few miles away from the Embassy compound, a fleet of school buses catering to the transportation needs of Mission families, and supplementary amenities.
Our objective is to offer goods, services, and facilities to U.S. Government employees and their families assigned overseas, with a focus on non-governmental provisions.
